The official grand holiday season is fast approaching. This usually results in stress, related to: tying up loose ends at the office, planning the family vacation and deciding on appropriate gifts to fill up a few Christmas stockings.
Before you find yourself being driven up a wall, take to the reigns and head out to the gorgeous and tranquil De Hoek Country Hotel in Magaliesberg to indulge in a sumptuous high tea.
De Hoek’s team of chefs has created a High Tea menu worthy of royalty. You and your friends or family will enjoy an array of sweet and savoury delicacies to accompany your choice of Althaus tea.
The “Sweety” menu is made up of delectable fresh fruit tartlets, scones with strawberry preserves and chantilly cream, Portuguese custard tartlets, lamingtons, macaroons and chocolate cigars. When digging in to the extensive savoury options, be sure to try the scrumptious smoked salmon trout, pumpernickel sandwiches, Chicken choux pastry puffs and Brie & cranberry baskets.
High Tea is served in the gardens on Saturdays from 1pm – 5pm at R325 per person (includes the menu, tea or coffee and a glass of MCC).
