A hidden gem in The Crags, Kay & Monty Vineyards is an exquisite boutique wine farm offering delicious food, hand-roasted specialist coffees and, of course, fine wine and bubbly.
The farm was bought by Chick Legh in 2004, and as an avid polo player Chick decided to convert it into a polo estate. Subsequently, it was one of the first estates to start planting vineyards after Bramon, and slowly but surely the infrastructure has taken shape.
“Kay & Monty Vineyards is a lasting tribute to my grandparents. On balmy summer evenings Kay was likely to turn to Monty and conspiratorially suggest a chilled glass of Champu,” says Steph Legh.
Kay & Monty Vineyards pay homage to all the local producers and almost everything that is served is sourced from the area or grown locally. Visitors can delight in freshly baked artisanal breads, local cheeses and the cold meats of mouth-watering charcuterie boards.
