The excitement of seeing pregnant tennis champion Serena Williams’ godly body naked on the cover of the latest Issue of Vanity Fair has set the internet on fire. In the August issue of the magazine, Serena speaks openly and in-depth about her relationship with her fiance, Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. While the story of their burgeoning romance is enough to make you understand exactly how they are a perfect match, the photographs in the spread illustrate the intensity of their love for themselves and each other (baby included). I suppose then, it was a no-brainer that Annie Leibovitz was Vanity Fair’s choice in photographer.
“You’ve captured our relationship exactly” – John Lennon. These words came after Annie photographed John Lennon and Yoko Ono for the now iconic cover of Rolling Stone. She was the last person to take professional photos of him as he was shot and killed 5 hours after their session.
Annie is undeniably a legendary artist with an impressive and extensive oevre. She is King of capturing the spirit.
