This South African artist is best known for his prints, drawings, and animated films. Having witnessed the dissolution of Apartheid first-hand, Kentridge brings the ambiguity and subtlety of personal experience to public subjects that are most often framed in narrowly defined terms. Kentridge’s unique preseptive and unparallelled talent makes him one of the most famed and sought-after South African artists of our time.

Benon Lutaaya

Benon Lutaaya is a Johannesburg-based visual artist. His work communicates the living truth of under developed countries and the terrible fruits of neocolonialism – with its resulting poverty, economic backwardness. He further explores these effects on populations driven by a fierce desire for progress, jobs, and the inclination to fight.

Also included in this exciting line-up are works by: Diane Victor, Arlene Amaler-Raviv, Robert Hodgins, Jan Neethling, Bruce Backhouse, Peter Clinton Gray, Lloyd Maluleke, Joni Brenner, Gunther Herbst and many names of the future from the Artists Proof Studio.

The Art Auction is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to preview the collection from 12:00 to 17:00 on ThursdayJuly 27 and are welcome to arrive at 18:00 for the Art Auction. All funds raised from the event will support LvA.
