Hot Cares is giving away R840 000 worth of Stationery, Bursaries and Back to School Gear
Hot Cares believes that education can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
According to statistics: In South Africa, The average results for Annual National Assessments in Grade 4: Home Language 49% and Mathematics 37%.
In Grade 6 more than 11% did not reach sufficient achievement in their Home Language, meaning achieving less than 40%. Over 36% failed in Mathematics.
Being aware of this and the other problems affecting the education system in South Africa, Hot Cares has been focusing on education in January.
As part of this education drive, we are awarding 3 bursaries as a well as undertaking on a back to school:
– We are also offering a Montessori Bursary. This bursary is for Grade 0 (naught)
The bursary, offered at the Montessori School in Fountaine Bleau, is valued at R40 000.
The bursary will provide the recipient with the dedicated attention needed at this crucial age, to prepare for the years of academia to follow. Also included is full day care from 7 AM to 5 PM, stationery, supplies and outings for the year.
Guvon Group Bursary
As a result of the incredibly successful Hot Cares TeddyThon last year the Guvon Group is awarding a bursary to one deserving person who wants to work in hospitality.
This bursary is for completion of an academic programme in Hospitality and Catering to the value of R150, 000. It is a 3-year programme, which will include workplace experience within the Guvon Hotels & Spas group as well as professional mentoring and development.

– The Back to School Supply Run
- Hot Cares has issued an open call to creches, schools, non-profit organizations and institutions who are in need of back to school supplies.
- With books, bursaries, early childhood development equipment, stationery and back-to-school gear worth over R 840 000.
